WHO NEEDS A TRADEMARK

Built for people building brands.

Markley files federal trademarks for creators, sellers, founders, and companies. Different clients, different needs — same flat fee, same California attorneys handling every file.

Creators

For the name you've already built an audience around.

YouTube and Twitch channels, podcasts, newsletters, handles, and merch lines. The work that builds your following also builds a brand — and that brand needs federal protection before someone else files first.

COMMON FILINGS

✓   Channel, show, or podcast names

✓   Personal brand names and pen names

✓   Merchandise and apparel lines

✓   Newsletter and publication titles

Small businesses & founders

For the business name that's becoming the brand.

Restaurants, agencies, local services, professional practices, and startups. Whether you're protecting a name you've used for years or claiming one before you launch, federal registration is the difference between common-law rights in one city and protection across the country.

COMMON FILINGS

✓   Business names and DBAs

✓   Restaurant and hospitality brands

✓   Agency, studio, and consultancy names

✓   Pre-launch filings for startups (intent-to-use)

E-commerce sellers

For brands selling on platforms that require federal marks.

Amazon Brand Registry, Walmart, Etsy, Shopify — the platforms that ask for a serial number all want a real federal trademark behind it. We file the application that gives you the registration to enroll.

COMMON FILINGS

✓   Product brand names for Amazon Brand Registry

✓   Private-label and DTC brand names

✓   Logo and wordmark filings for marketplace use

✓   Filings for sellers based outside the United States

Companies & in-house teams

For organizations filing more than one mark a year.

If you're filing at volume — product portfolios, sub-brands, ongoing launches — our standard flat-fee tiers may not be the right structure. We build custom engagements for in-house counsel, brand teams, and agencies that need consistent turnaround across multiple filings.

COMMON FILINGS

✓   Custom engagements for multi-mark portfolios

✓   Predictable turnaround and dedicated attorney contact

✓   Coordination with in-house legal and brand teams

✓   Scoping for ongoing filing pipelines

Filing from outside the United States?

Foreign-based sellers and businesses can file US federal trademarks, and many do — particularly to meet Amazon Brand Registry's verification requirements. US trademark rules require that applicants domiciled outside the United States be represented by a US-licensed attorney. That's what we do.

If you're filing from abroad, we'll handle the US-counsel requirement as part of your engagement.
